With the start of the 2019 holiday season, Chief Robert Bongiorno reports that the Bedford Police Department’s annual Operation P.A.C.E. (Pro-Active Community Enforcement) has begun, bringing increased marked police cruisers and a mix of uniformed and plainclothes officers to the town’s retail plazas in an effort to prevent crime and deter shoplifting.
Chief Robert Bongiorno is pleased to announce that a team of assessors from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 to begin examining various aspects of the Bedford Police Department’s policies and procedures, operations and facilities.
